also i can get a quote on a crx vti del sol (160bhp) but not the esi (120),insurance companies haven’t got a clue!

Their quote will only do you some good if you live in the United Kingdom where this company is licensed. They wouldn’t give you a quote for the U.S. unless the company is licensed to sell auto insurance in the state where you reside
They probably looked at your spelling and grammar and thought you were about 6 years old.
